An 86-year-old woman has been struck and killed by a pickup truck in East York.
Police say the woman, who was using a walker, was crossing Broadview Avenue near Mortimer Avenuewhen she was struck by a northbound pickup truck just before 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was without vital signs when paramedics transported her to a nearby trauma centre, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
